Our "Non-vented" charcoal range hood packages bring together everything needed for a commercial kitchen that must remove cooking odours without extracting air to the outside: stainless steel hood, motor, speed controller and remote activated carbon filter box. Available from 1 to 4 metres depending on the package chosen, with integrated double-inlet centrifugal fan or remote motor in a fan box.

Frequently asked questions

Is a non-vented hood allowed in a commercial kitchen?

The term "non-vented hood" originally refers to a domestic hood that recirculates air. Our commercial packages combine a stainless steel hood with a genuine activated carbon filter box built into the ductwork (air is discharged outside), which is different. The right choice depends on your cooking power and the regulations applicable to your premises: speak with our technical team to confirm the solution suited to your project.

What's the difference between an integrated double-inlet fan and a remote motor in the fan box?

The integrated double-inlet centrifugal fan sits directly inside the hood, as on the compact and classic packages. The remote motor is located in the extraction fan box, further away from the cooking area: this generally helps reduce the noise perceived at the workstation and protects the motor from heat and grease. Our 1 to 4 m package offers this configuration with a remote motor.

What power supply does a VentilSoGood charcoal range hood package need?

Our charcoal range hood packages run on single-phase 230 V, which suits kitchens not wired for three-phase power. The connection must always be carried out by a qualified electrician: this is the only condition for the 1 year warranty to apply to the whole package.

Does a charcoal range hood package replace an F400/120 smoke extraction system?

No. In a public-access building, a cooking installation exceeding 20 kW may require specific smoke extraction provisions depending on the project configuration. A charcoal range hood treats odours and grease, but never replaces an F400/120 rated system where this is required by regulation. In addition, activated carbon is flammable and therefore not compatible with the F400/120 standard.

What exactly is included in a charcoal range hood package?

Each package includes a stainless steel commercial kitchen hood, a motor (integrated double-inlet or remote, depending on the model), a speed controller and an activated carbon filter box with grease pre-filtration. All our packages are manufactured in Europe (mainly France) and come with a 1 year warranty. Activated carbon and filters are included in the package.
