VMC Vent valves are the terminal components of a professional or domestic ventilation system: fitted within the room itself, they handle extraction of stale air or supply of fresh air. Our range includes adjustable vent valves, connection sleeves, an adjustable circular diffuser and supply/extract grilles, suited to kitchens, sanitary areas, offices and plant rooms. The right choice depends on duct diameter and intended use, extraction or supply.

Frequently asked questions

What's the difference between a VMC vent valve, a circular diffuser and a supply/extract grille?

The VMC vent valve extracts or supplies air in a room connected to a duct. The adjustable circular diffuser distributes airflow more evenly, often used in suspended ceilings. The supply/extract grille, manufactured in Europe, is better suited to external outlets or visible duct runs. The choice depends on the location and the finish required, not just the flow rate.

How do I connect a VMC vent valve if the diameter doesn't match my duct?

Use a connection sleeve: the PVC sleeve (supplied with the adjustable plastic vent valve) or the clip-on PVC sleeve, which fits directly onto the valve with no gluing required. Both allow you to join an existing duct to a valve with a slightly different diameter.

Is the single-flow auto VMC vent valve self-regulating?

No, despite its name it isn't self-regulating in the sense of automatic control: it's a manually adjustable valve. The same 100mm diameter reference, for example, can be set to 15 m³/h in a WC or 80 m³/h in a kitchen. This reduces the number of references needed while keeping flexibility of use.

Can any valve be fitted to any VMC network?

The type of regulation on the valve needs to match what's already in place on your network. An adjustable valve is set manually to the required flow rate, it doesn't necessarily replace a different automatic control logic. Check how your VMC unit works before ordering a replacement model.
