Baffle filter: grease capture by impact
The baffle filter, also known as an impingement filter, captures grease by forcing air through a series of stainless steel baffles that make the particles change direction. The grease deposits on the baffle surfaces by impact and is then drained down into the hood's grease collection tray. This principle differs from mesh filters, which trap grease by simple physical barrier through the metal mesh and which deteriorate with repeated washing: after a certain number of cycles, they no longer provide optimal filtration. The baffle filter does not lose its filtering performance over time.

A half-size filter format, 250 mm wide, lets you complete an installation made up of several filters side by side without having to replace the whole row. It fits hoods where the front panel is divided into 250 mm modules, alongside a full-width 500 mm filter.
Maintenance and cleaning the baffle filter
This half-size baffle filter is dishwasher safe. If the filter is heavily soiled, it is best to soak it beforehand with a degreasing product before putting it through the machine: this softens the grease deposits so they do not risk clogging the dishwasher's drain.
