Use and compatibility
This DD 146/180 motor fits a mechanical ventilation unit, a small commercial kitchen hood or a plant room fan such as an air curtain or unit heater. It is supplied with capacitor, connection terminal block and mounting frame included, ready to replace a faulty motor without complex adaptation. It is compatible with units from all brands, including Caladair, Vim, Atlantic or ebm D3G146-LV13-30. Before ordering, check the dimensions of your current motor against the attached technical datasheet to confirm the exact compatibility of the frame and discharge direction.
Installation and wiring
The motor connects on a 230V single phase supply via its already fitted connection terminal block and capacitor. The IP44 protection rating is suitable for standard installation in a ventilation unit or plant room; for a more humid environment, adding a waterproof enclosure such as a junction box allows the rating to reach IP55. Electrical connection must be carried out by a qualified professional, which is also a condition of the warranty.
Points to check before ordering
- Compare the dimensions of your old motor with the attached technical datasheet (mounting hole centres, outlet diameter, overall height) before confirming compatibility.
- Check that your duct diameter falls within the indicative range of 200 to 250 mm, depending on your system configuration.
- Confirm that the available supply is indeed 230V single phase.
- Estimate the airflow actually required for your room or hood: the maximum airflow of 1,400 m³/h corresponds to optimal conditions, actual airflow depends on elbows, duct length and installed filters.
- If your unit requires a different mounting frame, remember to add the appropriate fitting kit to your order.
